Coaches Clinic Training Overview

The IYST coaching clinic is based the principles of the KVNB (Royal Dutch Soccer Union, and will provide you with a basic understanding on creating the right structure for your coaching sessions. The Clinic will provide theoretical sessions as well as practical sessions. In the practical session, a PYSC team will be asked to assist.

Each participant will be asked to complete homework assignments after each session.

TOPICS
  • What needs to be done in youth training sessions, what comes first,and what comes next, all depends on age and the ability of the players?
  • What are the most important technical skills players need to know, how can we teach them to your players and how can we recognize good from bad performances?
  • What are the objectives of different tactical sessions and what to look for and do during the session?

Important basics of training, pass, shoot and collect, conditioning.Moves for the 4 basic situations, 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, 7v7 (8v8), big scrimmage.Positional play, task of the position.Shooting, scoring.Defending.

TIMES & DATES:

COST: $40 per each 2 hour session per coach or $229 for all 6 Sessions.

What Should Coaches Bring to Clinic

EQUIPMENT: Coaches should bring shin guards if they wish to participate, water, soccer ball and sunscreen.
